Microscopic in size and extremely harmful, ultimately causing the tree to die if not treated. Found on the lower surface of leaves, they breed in warm dry conditions. Look for discolouration of leaves, which then fall off. Difficult to control, but essential to remove. Use insecticidal soap spray at three- to five-day intervals until all evidence is gone.
